Then, rename that copy -- change the .xsn extension to .cab. This will change the file to a cab file. Double click on your new cab file and you'll see all the files that make up your template. Copy all the files to a new ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-18-2009 Re: insert formula accumulative sum This depends on where your drop down gets the list of values / display names. If they are manually entered into the list, we need to do some conditional values for our expression box. If they come from a secondary data source, it is a bit easier -- where do your drop downs get their list from? I'll post a modified sample for you.... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-18-2009 Re: Secondary Connection for Drop-Down list I'm not super familiar with Access, but can you also set AssyNo to auto increment, maybe make it a calculated column? When I asked if it had to be populated, I guess I'm wondering about the use of the field. You know, sometimes we need to know something before we submit a form, because we are also typing a description that is supposed to ... Please help This blog post on custom code in the save event will help you see how to display the save as dialog. Actually, this may be even more helpful, so try it first... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-16-2009 Re: insert formula accumulative sum Hi: When you say you only want to display the active project, can you tell me more about what you mean? You can use an expression box to create a conditional sum (unless this is a browser based form, in which case you'll have to add another field with a default value). Your formula for that expression would vary according to your data ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-16-2009 Re: Secondary Connection for Drop-Down list Glad you've got this issue sorted. I've replied to your other post with a bit more information based on the question there. However, reading this post, which has a bit more information.... I have to wonder -- is your form built off the Access DB in question? That table has an ID field, correct? Does it auto increment? With a data base ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-16-2009 Re: Infopath form linked to access 2003 database Hi, Ralph: If I may expand on Patrick's answer.... You can add another data connection to your form that receives data, and you can select your Access database as the source. Perhaps it would be easiest if you created a View in your Access database that returns the max AssyNo and the max of the other field you want incremented. Here is a ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-16-2009 Re: Manipulating Default Values What I think you should do is first try to get the preceding sibling part of the formula right. When done correctly, you should have basically a row counter in the milestone id field, so I'd think from your data source: count(../preceding-sibling::d:msdbMilestone1/@MilestoneDetaiID1) + 1 After you have that working, and basically have a ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-16-2009 Re: Repeating Table copy previous record Patrick Halstead's book is fantastic, but I'm really hot on these labs right now, because I think the hands on experience is fantastic. While these are written with IP 2003 in mind, the basics hold true through 2007, though the code object model changes.... I know for conditional defaults when I want a boolean expression to evaluate to 1 or 0, I have to use more parenthesis. So, like: sum(@InvoiceAmount * (@ApplyVAT)) Posted to Controls (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 06-15-2009 Page 1229 of 1327 (13266 items) « First ... < Previous 1227 1228 1229 1230 1231 Next > ...
