So, what would you like the form to do if it isn't valid? Or if it is?
You don't want to store the evaluation code in the form, but you say "I want infopath to compare evaluation code (In form), match it to the evaluation code in the Sharepoint list to determine if the pay increase amount is valid", which confuses me a little ...

Hi, Raj!
That information helps a lot.
You can do this with conditional formatting, I think. You need to know who is opening the form -- I'm guessing you are handling that since you are setting the admin field at run time. I think what I would probably do is add another field, it can be in a secondary data source, and populate that with the ...

OR vs AND bites me sometimes too, especially once I'm looking at negatives! Glad it is working for you now.

Your data validation needs to contain a condition for the field being blank, so something like: Field 1 is not blank AND your original validation condition.

I still don't know what you might have in your repeating table that you could base the conditional formatting ON. That is, if you look at the form when the data is loaded, how do you know what rows a person should be able to change and which not? We have to understand how a person would see or decide that to understand the formatting you could ...

I don't know what is on line 64 of your jscript file -- which is what the error is on. Like I said, CloseDocument() was a guess based on the MSDN docs. It could be wrong.
MSDN labs show this code snippet:
// Tell InfoPath the submit was successful.
eventObj.ReturnStatus = true;

I'm a little confused by the query adapter and what it is doing? I can see that you have the submit adapter and are using it to submit the form, but the query adapter is the one you are setting the timeout on?
I'm kind of javascript impaired, but I think you can close the form with XDocument.CloseDocument().

Your syntax seems correct. When I add a new repeating group with fields like those in your current template, everything works. I've looked at the form source files to see if I can track down what is causing the error, and don't see anything....
I'm going to ask some other members of the team to take a look and see if they see what ...

Are you using InfoPath 2007? It has a username() function.... if the username was one of the fields in the repeating table, you could use conditional formatting on each field in the repeating table to make it read only if the field in the table that holds the username doesn't match the username() returned by the function....

Can you attach your template so we can take a look at it?
When you reply to this post, under Options there is a place to add a file....
