If you submit using InfoPath's built in functionality rather than in code, what happens? Is this a custom web service?
-
Absolutely. Check out this MSDN article.

I just verified that I get the same behavior. That's flat weird. However, since I'm stubborn, I tried this:
sPath="C:\base"
Dim ipApp
Set ipApp = CreateObject("InfoPath.Application")
Call ipApp.XDocuments.Open(sPath + ".xml",8)
And it worked....

Hi:
Is Startdate a field in your form?
You can get the value with something like:
var startDate = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:startDate").text;
With the xpath in bold replaced with your xpath. You'll need to convert the resulting string to a date. I'm not terribly JavaScript-y, but a quick search online ...

Argh! we moved some files around, and it was tough to find. I think it is this sample (updating the original link too).
-
Why don't you post your code so we can see what might be going wrong for you?
-
I don't know that there is a way to check the size of the data source. You can use the count() function in the formula editor to get the number of rows returned....
-
Hi, and welcome!
Can you give us a bit more info about what you mean? Do you mean you need to know if the data source has any rows? Or if a field in any row contains a certain value? Or something else all together?
Thanks!

Currently, DBXL doesn't support property demotion from SharePoint for SharePoint mapped forms.
-
Ah, okay, I misunderstood. I don't believe that currently the DBXL / SharePoint integration will allow demoted properties. I'll check with the rest of the team.
