Hi:
When you walk through the data connection wizard for your main data source, at the very last screen you'll see at the bottom information about submitting. If there is a reason InfoPath won't enable submit to your table, there will be a message. Here is another post on this subject that may be helpful to you.
Just so you know, the ...

Hi --
If you are using InfoPath 2007, I encourage you to use C# for the 2007 object model instead of JScript. IP 2007 has VSTA, which is a much richer IDE than the script editor.
Here is an MSDN article on connecting to an Access Database via C# that might help you.
Re-reading your post, however, I see you also want to be able to retrieve ...

Hi, Scott:
What happens to forms that don't get approved in Step One or Two? Is anything not approved considered rejected? Or does everything eventually get approved? I'm concerned about how the person who approves the form submitted in step one is going to manage his workload -- be able to find the forms he's looking for. You say ...

Hi:
I hate to be the bearer of sad tidings, but InfoPath just doesn't do this out of the box. You can write code to change your data connection's underlying SQL query prior (and thus incorporate a field value into a where clause in the query) or you can use something like a web service that provides for this type of filtering (as Patrick ...

I vaguely remember that IP2003 had some .... oddities .... when trying to use the current() function in a default, which the sample I posted relies on. I'm not too sure of a good work around for that. If you know in advance how many choices your users would have, and what the values would be, you could simply use sums with filters -- like ...

Well, I don't know if your markup could be rendered in a dataview or not. Perhaps someone who is more familiar with SharePoint than I am will be able to address that question.
For the sake of organization, here's the link to your other post on this.

If you are using IP 2003 and you want to use C#, I'm afraid you are going to have use Visual Studio. If you don't have Visual Studio, you can use InfoPath 2007 (if you have a copy) and set the language to be C# compatible for the 2003 object model. If you only have 2003, I'm afraid you'll need to try to find a way to accomplish the ...

Hi, again --
In your other post on this, you didn't mention what version of IP you were using. I'm afraid I'm not terribly VBScript savvy, but for C# for the IP 2003 object model:
IXMLDOMNode node = thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:temp");
IXMLDOMNodeList children = node.childNodes;
string innerXml = ...

Hi: You can get the value with the markup with code -- the InnerXml property of an XPathNavigator will return a string with the markup. However, I don't know that SharePoint would know what to do with it if you were able to promote it -- if you promote a text field, for example, with the string with markup, it will display the string with the ...
