Hi Karsten and welcome to our forum!
What is your rule attached to? If it is a button, then you can just attached the code to the button and it will be executed when the button is clicked. Otherwise, you might want to look at the OnBeforeChange() and OnAfterChange() events - maybe you can attach your code to one of these events of the control ...

Hi Andrei and welcome to our forum!
A similiar action is accomplished in this tutorial:http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=80c11a66b08a4572bc2b17f391319a0f
(Just skip down to the code and look at the appendChild() function)

You should be able to to just two fields:
concat( field1, field2 )
Maybe you forgot to delete the last comma when you deleted the third field. If the above doesn't work, just make the third field and empty string:
concat( field1, field2, '''' )
However, the cool thing about concat is that it accepts (I think) an unlimited number of arguments, ...

To show text from two fields in one, use the concat() function on the one field.
1. Double-click field3
2. Click the function button in the Default Value section
3. Click Insert Function
4. Find the concat function, select, and click OK.
5. double-click to add field1 and field2 appropriately.
6. Click OK.
Good luck!

Ah, I see what you're trying to do. This can be tricky sometimes.
I suggest applying this tutorial to add a id number to your row: http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=d663d7df90e94e65abb02632966e8127
and then use the number from that field instead of the position() function.
I hope this works, please let us know if you figure ...

An easy way to do this would be to add one more field to each row, FieldC, and use a function on this field to calculate the inverse. Then for each FieldA and FieldB on subsequent rows, use a data validation expression like this:
. = preceding::my:FieldC

Interesting. I tried wrapping in a section and putting a tooltip on the section, but didn't work.
I found this thread that suggests using a task pane, but that's about it :(

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do here. Are you trying to get items from a column in a SharePoint List or are you trying to access data held within an XML document that is in a SharePoint Form Library?
If you are trying to get information from a SharePoint list you can use the Data Connection wizard to get that rather easy, try ...
