InfoPath Dev

The filter is set up and the dropdown shows a set of rows, but they are all blank, no values.

So, for line 165L, are there 5 valves selected? Or are there 5 entries in Line that are line 165L, and each has a valve?

 Hi Hilary,   Thank you for your help. I see that InfoPath is great to fill out data fields of a table, but when there is more complex relationships it does not allow for cascading updates to the tables, which is a pity. Thanks,  Jovan 

Yay, it works!  Thanks so much Hilary - I knew it would be something simple and had tried pasting in notepad but not saved it with the .xml extension :)

Valve is a lookup on the Line List and it's hard to get a complete understanding of it without actually seeing it.

Thankfully, I was able to figure it out. Your solution put me on the right direction. Thanks.

I've been using a secondary data connection and filtering the results to get cascading dropdowns to work. I just stumbled across another method that uses query fields and rules to do the same thing. in what cases would one method be better than another? Thanks
