Now that I've already done it(!) I got to wondering whether there was an easier/quicker way to do what I've done...
I needed to create a grid where users could enter numbers, at the end of each row was a total field which was the sum of all the values entered in that row.
4 rows with 14 values and a total on each. I don't think I ...

Just to add to this.... I just had this exact same issue. Installing the hotfix fixed it.
Thanks!

Thanks Jody, I'm hoping to get something that will be forever automated

Exactly, so that article is no good for me.
I need to be able to send FirstName LastName (Is that what is called Displayname?) and return the email address for that person.
The example uses FirstName and assumes the CurrentUser

Thanks UserProfileService is the example I had seen but all the examples I saw assumed the email required was for the current user.
Assuming domain/johnd
We enter our user name in the people picker as johnd and this resolves to John Doe.
I'd need to take that value and return john.doe@ourdomain.com and put it "somewhere" so I ...

I've googled this and seen 2007 offerings that either spoke of 3rd party options or long winded ways of doing this (usually using the CurrrentUser as the example)
I hoped there might be something easier with 2010.
I have a form that includes a people picker which points to our main SP site and works fine.
I'd like an action on my form ...

I'm trying to find a way to use a sequential numbering system to name forms that are submitted to a forms library in SP 2010 (also Infopath 2010)
The form naming convention will be OPxx where xx is a sequential number. 1 number higher than the previously submitted form.
I created a field LastUsedNumber and when the form loads there are 2 ...

Thanks, that sounds a bit icky, I might just put the rule on the drop down 9as it is now) and add it to the last text box.
-
Anyway I could do this (see rules inspector in image) without having to cover every text box? Would be great to be able to refire the dropdown function when a textbox value is changed or onBlur but if this can't be done i'll need to cover backwards and forwards.... but preferably not having to attach these 2 rules to every textbox included ...

One other thing....
My drop down appears before the textboxes in the formula, the rules will only "fire" if the drop down box is used after the values have been entered into the form.
Is there a way to tie the textboxes to the drop down in a way so that when they are changed or have values entered, the rules re-run?
