Hi - I don't understand what you mean. What are the criteria? Do you mean conditions on rules that submit the form? You could set your buttons to be regular rule buttons and just include a submit action in the rules?

So - is this a list form? Or a regular InfoPath form that submits to a library? You are right that you won't be able to put random text into a person/group column type. But you could have a third field that you display in your list library views and that could have either the display name from the people picker OR the user entered text in it - ...

Interesting - on my SharePoint server, the view switches and the email sends with whatever the view is prior to sending the email. So - switching views and sending always sends the current view. You could also try having a section on the default view of your form that shows / hides when you email, but I'm not sure if that will work for you ...

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your solution! :)

Did you test in the browser, like I mentioned? As I said in my post, in InfoPath preview, you'll get a blank email with the view switching technique.

I should add, I just tested this on a SharePoint 2013 server I have access to with a regular (i.e. not a list) form and was able to paste into a rich text control. Both in and not in compatibility view. The user experience was pretty bad, with IE asking consistently for clipboard access and a bar across the bottom popping up about allowing blocked ...

I don't usually include all the form info in the email. Just a little info and a link for the user to click to open it. Here's a sample. You should publish this to a test library, because switching views to send email only works in the browser - in preview you'll get a blank email. Usually, there would also be a rule to close the form ...

Thanks for the screenshots - one last question, is this a SharePoint List form (modified in InfoPath) or a "normal" InfoPath browser form (submits to a library)?

If you open dev tools in IE (F12) do you see any errors in the console? Is this published to a SharePoint 2013 server, or SharePoint online? I can try to repro the issue.

Create a view called "Email". On the button that you are using for submit, change views to the new Email view, then send your email to the manager. Set up the email connection to just send the current view. I usually use a helper field for the link, and can try to find a sample for you tomorrow, but for right now, you could even just use ...
