Hi Drewified,
Did you have sandbox enabled? The functionality will work in the browser, but browser on 2010 requires sandbox or admin deploy. That may be the issue, but maybe not. If you can open the form, then it's working. Have you tried doing domain-trust and converting the data connection into a UDC?

None that I know of. Certainly the .NET way precludes doing this kind of sketchy stuff. qRules has a function to do the former but no dice on the MDB grand unification. And, of course, that qRules command requires a URN-based form. But, hey, it's not hard to create URN-based full trust forms.

Beautiful!
Such a coincidence too. I created the same sample last week. Too bad the cells can't have a background color when they're in a table. :)

Hi JaxKookie and thanks for the dual post!
I definitely know the feeling of a hairless odyssey. Thanks for the high gain. No need for low gain here. :)

Hi Shelly,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Have you tried using the out-of-box filtering? You will need to create a secondary XML file that defines which PMs can do which Initiatives. See Greg's article on how to do this: ...

Hi Shane,
Looks like an issue with your SQL permissions. When we installed last Friday I remember we had to be very careful to enter the correct credentials (for example, to your SQL server, which was on a different box). We're scheduled for 1 hour tomorrow at 1pm Pacific. Please send us email if you need more immediate assistance.

Hi Cashworth,
This is an interesting question. Here's a simple idea: change the UI to force the user to add a row at the bottom. After added, it gets automatically inserted and sorted in ascending order of the StartDate in a read only table above it. Now, you can use preceding-sibling and the rarer follow-sibling to compare it. Just add a ...

Hi Gidsy,
Welcome to the wonderful world of InfoPath! :)
Your first question is a deep one! :) It's also one of the most commonly asked in this forum. How to integrate with SQL. InfoPath includes out-of-box support to work with SQL but it is limited. The best practice is to submit data to SQL using a Web service. Qdabra has simplified this ...

Why are you searching a text box? That's a lot of work and requires code and that code won't work in the InfoPath 2007 browser object model (nor InfoPath 2010 for that matter).
Instead, why not just change your secondary data source to get the list of people in a repeating XML structure. Then, you can just copy the person from the list ...

That's going to be very hard because the end tags for the markup could be outside the 400 characters.
I recommend not using rich text. If you must use Rich Text, you could just warn the users and have them manually reduce it until it's <400 characters and then enable a submit button. That's probably the best way for Rich Text - ...
