Hi KR Dumond and welcome!
We use SQL in place of Access to do what you describe. We also use a Web Service to submit the form to SQL so that it works in the browser. The web Service handles the correspondence with the keys so we don't need to query SQL to get the keyfield. This is a pretty common scenario.
Good luck!

Hi Hakuna,
Welcome to the forum!
If you want to create a rule in InfoPath that copies values you can't use a rich text box to extract those values.
I recommend that you look at structuring your input and forcing users to select which items they want using a checkbox or radio button.
Then, you can use a calculated value to display the ...

Hi Plavix,
qRules v3.4 has a local save option available which will let you use a rule to save. Your form will have to be full trust though.
We hope to release qRules v3.4 next month. If you'd like to install the beta, please send email to Support at Qdabra dot com.
Thanks!

Thanks,

The form is a "cluster cluck" as they say here in Chicago (in Seattle Speak: sounds like the form has some serious precipitation issues). Best practice is one data connection that pulls in all ...

Hi Ofir,
Can you just record the current time when you click the buttons and display a calculated value (expression box in InfoPath 2007 parlance) that diffs the time? There are a bunch of techniques for calculating the difference between dates and times. Some clever xpath from Alex Pojidaev and qRules also offers a simple DateDiff calc. Not hard ...

Hi Steve,
What are you trying to do? We can upload file attachments. We have XTPs to handle that but it requires qRules (i.e. our common code library).
Possibly, you mean you want to save the XML as a binary object or XML column into a SQL database table. We have a Web service that will do that too. Give us a testimonial, and we'll make it ...
