Does the InvalidOperationException provide any other information?

And just so you know, the filename portion of the link can be anything at all and it will still successfully retrieve the file, so you could use:
Documents/2555/d0a0c5d3-55be-4073-9510-d2b8f54dc9a9.xml
Documents/2555/0.xml
Documents/2555/document.xml
and they should all work for retrieving the form with DocId 2555.

While that is possible, it would probably be a better idea to just make a copy of your XSN, delete all the views, and remove any rules that you won't be using in the new form.

http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath/#function-substring
In this case, I think the formula you want is:
concat(substring(firstName, 1, 1), ' ', lastName))

I attached a template. You need to download it and open it in InfoPath designer.
-
Yes, got it. I will have a look tonight.
-
Have a look at the default value formula on field6 in this form.
-
If there's no code and you're just talking about the source of the form itself, you can open the XSN in InfoPath designer and use the Save as Source option, or you can rename the XSN extension to CAB and use a file extraction utility to extract it.

Hello Donna,
Could you send this other form to our support alias? I can go through the process one more time to make sure it works, and then send you steps so that you can try it for yourself.
Thanks,
Jimmy
