Interesting! Perhaps you could submit via rules? Then, if the form is approved, the first rule would be to clear the dummy number out of the ID field, the next would submit to the SQL data connection, etc?

Here is a sample for the IP 2003 model -- this is C#, and I think you may be using script:
//Create the new, blank workorder -- path changes according to your template location

What object model are you using? 2003 or 2007? You can open a form from another and populate values into the newly opened form -- the code will vary depending on your object model...

I don't mean to be slow, but I'm confused. What do you mean by the SubmitToSharePointList value? I see in your template that you have the qRules command node set to what appears to be the correct command.... I'm glad it is working, however.

Hi, glad you are interested in qRules. Can you help me understand more of what you are trying to do? Since you mention 'mapping', I'm guessing you are using the SubmitToSharePointList command, is that correct?
The way you'd know if that command worked would be if the items in your form were added the list you specified in the ...

If you already have 4 forms, and have created XML files from them, and you want to be able to open your old XML files with the new form, you may have a lot of challenges if the schemas are different. If, on the other hand, you haven't created these 4 separate forms yet, you still working on your initial design ideas, you can leverage things ...
