Unfortunately, the string length function doesn't count the tags the user uses for formatting their rich text - is that the issue you are running into?

Standing Offer is a lookup, right? So probably need to use a calculated value for that.
-
So - on the validation rule, you have UserID is not equal to "U68738", show a validation error? I'd think you'd need AND instead of OR here - UserID is not equal to "U68738" AND UserID is not equal to "U123455" AND UserID is not equal to ... etc - show an error?

Wonderful - if you have a chance, could you post the issue / solution to help others?

So that behavior is expected - if you rebind a section, you also will have to rebind the controls inside it.
-
I see - I misread your original post. I would not hesitate to bind any number of sections to the same group. I have never had an issue with that. Again, I don't know why you are getting a warning in some forms and not others.
-
I bind sections to fields regularly and have not had any performance issues due to that that I've seen. In your forms without the warning, do you have other controls bound to the same field? I.e. - both a section and a field where the user fills out values are bound to the same field? Do the fields that you are binding your sections to have ...

I'd like to help you, but I simply don't understand. Can you outline the problems? If you try to create a new blank form, does that work? Are you able to add controls to it, and add fields to the schema? If you can give me more info about where you are stuck, I might be able to better help you.
-
No, I can't - I'm sorry, but forms that are bound to a data source, like a SharePoint list, can't be modified like that unfortunately. I don't understand what you mean when you say you tried but weren't able to - can't you just create a new blank form and add similar fields and logic to a new blank form?
-
This is a SharePoint list form, I'm guessing? I just did a quick test, and it seems if you create a view that is the default view for viewing (that's an ugly sentence right there) then any buttons are not displayed. So my guess is that no, you won't be able to do this.
