DBXL only maps the data that's in the form's main data source, but you can use qRules (in conjunction with DBXL) to either submit the secondary data to the DB using a separate doctype, or you can copy the data from the query into the main data source and then just use the DBXL mapping logic.

Hi BryanF and welcome!
Thanks for your post and patience over the holidaze.
Your project is easy to do with InfoPath. You'll want to create a secondary XML data source and add it as a data connection to your form. The trick is making the query dynamic. You could add all of the servers as datas connections and then add rules with conditions ...

Hi Moonshine99. I don't know. I think this could be a limitation of Access. Obviously, you could use a SQL based solution and a Web Service to submit the forms. we have a lot of people using that kind of a service-oriented-architecture to solve their business process automations.

I'm guessing you are using Windows Large Fonts for your display settings. Can you check that?

Go to Settings -> Advanced Settings and there should be a place to click on edit template. The ribbon should also have a purple icon to edit the list if the user has the appropriate permissions.

Unfortunately, you cannot since it's based on an XML schema whereas the SharePoint list form is based on a database schema (SharePoint's).
You can use techniques to copy data from the form to the list and vice versa. Qdabra's qRules common library makes it easy to set up a correspondence. Check out the two commands ...

This seems related to your other post. Because you are sending the XML and the secondary data source is not hte main data source, you won't see the data. You could copy the values to your main data source (as you mention in the other post), or you could submit the form to the DB and have person B open a link whch refreshes it on open. You ...

Hi Ladyath,
What version of InfoPath are you using? You should be able to refresh from the database. We have a common library called qRules that supports copying data from a repeating table but I'm not sure that's the solution for you. A recursive eval can be used to concat data but there's no xpath set value command to iterate on, so ...

Hi Tom,
Thanks for visiting the forum on Christmas Day!
We'll need a lot more information to help with this. I recommend sending us the IPFS log files. We'll also need a support ticket, but you know the drill.
Cheers!

Hi Tamer,
1. You can add a rule when the form opens to select a value from a dropdown list. Just set the field bound to the dropdown to the value you want to select. Even if the dropdown list is a secondary data source, it should still work fine.
2. Have you tried adding a web part? It should support adding from a form library.
Hope this ...
