Good morning all!
I am trying to get a submit button to email to a certain person in a database that has a certain position title. I've attached a screenshot of the button properties.
The thinking is that I could just manage the database to have the form change when new people come into certain positions. We have many different forms ...

I have created a form for returning deployers that requests their experience. The employees are writing small novels in this space and so when we print out the form for the placement boards to try and decide where to put them on their return, they cant see half of the experience. I want to limit how much they can put into this ...

Hello Everyone,
I have a SharePoint list which has more than 5000 entries, I need to lookup this list if items in an InfoPath form. I created a data connection to load the entire items on the form load, it takes more time to load the form. How do we show the 5000+ entries in the drop down without loading the entire items in the form ...

Hi
I want to trigger an email when the value of dropdown changes to a specific value "xyz". Is that possible using InfoPath without using workflows?

Thanks Hilary - that was 100% the issue. I created a new rule which adds all of those "Elements" fields together and that field changing is now my trigger for the VB code. It's working again! I have a feeling I'm really pushing some limits of InfoPath with this form and am worried I'm going to hit a wall where my automation ...

Thank you but I have found the solution right after publishing my post and I couldn't delete it.
I didn't need the 1st repeating table nor the optional section. I simplified the form and now the sum are working in the repeating table.

So - I would start by trying to narrow down the issue.
Since your form has qRules and is published directly to a form library, it is in the SharePoint Sandbox. I think it would be a good test to try the form outside of the sandbox and see if you have the same issue.
Is it possible for you to publish the form as admin approved and ...

Mystery solved! I see the same thing with rules - where there is confusion as to why a rule didn't fire & it turns out the field w/ the rule didn't change. Yah, reset that field after your code completes - maybe go with a try/catch/finally and reset in the finally so it is always ready to go again. :)

Well I feel like an idiot lol. The rule that triggers the VB code updates all of the fields that are then imported into variables, including GCCX, but what I failed to take into consideration is that 0 being "updated" to 0 the 2nd time probably doesn't register as a "change" after all... which would then explain why the ...
