  • A Tall Tale About My Field

I uncovered this problem quite a while ago, but on 2004-09-02 it finally got to me enough, when I needed to actually use a structure like this, to write something about it. I've reported this problem to Microsoft. DESCRIPTION: There is an problem in InfoPath where the designer thinks fields are invalid when in reality they are not. This ...

  • Re: Binding controls to specific repeating elements

Greg, I only want to access 1 instance of a repeating node. Below is some XML that is an example of what I need to do. <ApplicationData> <DataItemString Name=''Oranges''>Florida</DataItemString> <DataItemString Name=''Apples''>NewEngland</DataItemString> <DataItemString ...

  • Re: Binding controls to specific repeating elements

In order to access more than one instance of a repeating node, you must use a repeating control of some kind. For your scenario it sounds like the best choice would be to use a repeating section. Create a Repeating Section without controls, or just delete all of the controls out of it after it is inserted. Then add just the attrbite field that ...

  • Re: can you prgrammatically filter a repeating table

Your task should be fairly easy and straight forward. What you need to do is set up a field, preferrably in a secondary data source, which is your filter field. Let's assume the following: TaskFilter is the name of your filter field. The values 0, 1, 2 represent Overdue, Due and Completed tasks respectively. Status is the name of the field ...

  • Binding controls to specific repeating elements

I would like to bind a control to a repeating element that has a specific attribute value. Currently it appears that a control is bound to the first element found. Alternately I can use a repeating section and place the control there. However adding the control into a repeating section is not what I want because I need to view only the element ...

  • Re: Saving locally.

What do you mean all the files are not there? What do you mean that it is not a real XSN? If your template is broken somehow you cannot expect the form.xml to work properly. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Re: Saving locally.

Yes i can save the trusted form to the c: drive with no problem. But when i try to reopen the form.xml it tells me that its not trusted , and if i try to open it in design mode it says that that not all of the files are there,of course thats because its not a real XSN. The files only about 5k in size.

  • Re: Query Not Working.

Well I just got off the phone with MS. For what ever reason the form somewhere is calling SQL with a ''Where'' statment of ''where 1 = 0''. And thats when you call any of the records stored in SQL. Starting to sound like a Form issue.
