  • Re: Export to Excel Issue

Task completed. The basic code I used to open and write to Excel from Infopath (using VBScript) is this: Dim objExcel Dim objNodeList Dim objNode Dim i Dim rowindex Set objExcel = CreateObject(''Excel.Application'') objExcel.workbooks.add objExcel.visible = true rowindex = 1 'Code below gets the data from the repeating table which is bound to ...

  • Re: Repeating table and query fields problem

I created a group in the main data source with all the fields that my user would need for their input values. (The group looks much like the ones generated by the main data source because it has a repeating group under it with all the relevant fields) I then created a repeating table and binded it to the repeating group. I created a button that ...

  • Re: Change value of field based on drop down selection

    1) create two sections. (not repeating sections, just plain sections) 2) Put a drop down list box in the first section and bind it to the query field that holds the ID (it should be under q:TableName) 3) Put a text box in the second section and bind it to the data field that holds the email address (should be under d:TableName) 4) Right click ...

  • Re: Change value of field based on drop down selection

Let's assume your drop-down list displays ''name'' and stores ''id'', and is bound to ''field1''. Let's also assume you want to populate ''field2'' with ''email'' when the drop-down value changes. Let's assume you have a secondary data source named ''sql'' with a repeating list of ''person''s that you are getting the values from. You will use ...

  • Re: Printing an InfoPath Form.

You are not able to do this. The best you can do is have directions indicating that the user should select a specific printer when they print. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Re: How defined?

Where is the xsl:value-of in the code? Is it part of a repeating table? What type of node is it trying to pass in? You can also cast your parameters as you pass them in (if that helps)... xdExtension:CalculateTotal(number(.)) But this is only useful if you are passing in a value. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Change value of field based on drop down selection

I have been working for quite some time on trying to set the value of a field based on the selection of a drop-down list. First off, there seem to be several different ways (none documented well at all) on how this should be accomplished. I have a table in a SQL Server database that has an id, name, and email address. I have the names showing up ...

  • Re: Repeating table and query fields problem

I created a seperate repeating table in the main data source (for user inputs) that is independent of the data fields. Can someone provide me with some help with the code on how to take the user inputs and submit them to the database? My best guess involves using a loop to capture each line in the repeating table. For each line, I will create a ...
