    Ooh, sorry. in the SDK, you'll want to look under samples. Chapter 8 refers to our book ''Developing Solutions with Microsoft InfoPath''.

  • Re: Creating a new form from command-line

    Hi again, You can use a URN-based form to dispense with the need for a hardcoded href. Then it will work regardless of where you run it (so long as the InfoPath URN-based form is registered - use regform for that). Yes, I was saying that just use the command tool or whatever to create the XML that InfoPath loads, or you could create it and use ...

    Here's some sample code I pulled off the newsgroup. I haven't tried it myself. It's JScript code. var wdApp; wdApp = new ActiveXObject(''Word.Application''); wdApp.Visible = true; wdApp.WindowState = 1; wdApp.Documents.Open(''C:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\Desktop\\test.doc''); Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

  • Re: Drop Down Issue

    This is the correct behavior. You are setting a default choice, not a default value. If you want a default value, you need to set that on the field to which the drop-down list box is bound. Then you will not need to set a default choice for the drop-down list. Have an ''actual'' default value in the field will automatically select the correct ...

  • Re: Creating a new form from command-line

    Hi Patrick Thanks for that. So can you clarify if you mean that I should create an XML document from the command line code? That is should I create the full structure of the Form (including all fields) within this XML? Are you suggesting I use a href to point the XSN template, in the PI, instead of the name attribute? Regarding processing ...

    quote:Originally posted by Patrick Halstead In the SDK, look for Import. In the manifest.xsf, look for importParameters. This is covered in chapter 8 of our book. I just installed the sdk package, where do I find chapter 8, not sure where it located. Can you point out. Greatly appreciated. Thnks

    The reason for passing XML into Word is so that I can use the XML functionality later (ex. develop different XSLT's that can be applied later, reuse data from Word, etc.). You don't happen to any other sites or resources that give C# coding examples?

  • Re: setProperty() function

    Hello liuqian, You need to cast the secondary data source dom as an IXMLDOMDocument2 before you setProperty on it. Your code would look something like this in VS2003 domCustomersUSA = (IXMLDOMDocument2)thisXDocument.GetDOM(''Customers ...
