Well, as I said, qRules will allow you to easily do precisely what you describe without writing and maintaining your own code, and it provides a whole bunch of other features to fill in the "gaps" in InfoPath's functionality. SharePoint, etc. will treat a qRules form like a form with code, so if that is a limiting factor, ...

There is a codeless hack you can use to delete all of the rows in a repeating group:
http://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/how-to-remove-initial-row-in-repeating-tables/
Aside from that, the only other options are to write code, or you can use qRules, which lets you remove all the rows (or all except the first row if you ...

You can use the codeless date diff trick or qRules (which is somewhat simpler) to get the number of days between two dates:
http://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/infopath-codeless-programming-walkthrough-2/
Then you can take the result, divide it by 30, and use the round() function to round it.

It's very likely that the issue is that the StatementsGroup repeating group has another sibling node (PrintGroup) after it. Ideally, a repeating group should have a parent all to itself, but that probably is not an option at this stage of your form development, so would it be possible to move the PrintGroup node above StatementsGroup or ...

Hi Catharine,
Could you attach a screenshot of the data sources involved and tell us where you're copying from and to?

There were a few changes I forgot to make before I hit post. Please check the updated code in the forum thread.

I would suggest using validation rules instead of code if at all possible. They will be automatically rerun for all fields any time any field value changes, so they will behave the way you're describing and won't have all the drawbacks of code.
If you absolutely have to use code, you can do something like this:public void ...

The quick start guide should give you a good rundown, but basically, you use a rule to set a command to the Command field in the QdabraRules data source, and it runs that command. For SetValue, the command format would be:
SetValue /xpath=xpath of the field to modify /value=value to set to the field
You can use a concat formula to ...

Unfortuately, this isn't available with InfoPath's built-in functionality, and we added the SetValue command to qRules to address this very problem. Please give it a try.

Do do this, you would place the repeating section inside a section control and hide the section on the condition:
AttachmentField is blank AND current user is approver
You'll need to come up with your own logic for determining if the current user is an approver.
