Hi CaroleB,
This is a very commonly requested feature that is not available in InfoPath out-of-the-box.
I responded to your other post explaining that you'll need to write some code to do this or use our qRules common library.
Please take a look and let us know how can help.

Hi Olsen9 and welcome,
Good issue. We have often thought about adding some functions to qRules to handle conversion. Maybe we will in the future. In the meantime, you wilol have to write some code using .NET to get the current timezone and do the conversion. I suggest going to MSDN and searching for some .NET code.
If you'd like to have one ...

Hi Doreen,
You don't necesarily need to write any code to do this. You can just add rules and actions to set all of the fields in your form when the user clicks a button called Reset. It will take you some time to set these up (especially if you have a lot of fields), and you will have to do it separately for each form template you develop, ...

Hi Velnias2011 and welcome,
2) You can filter your SQL queries using values from the form if you write code in the form or use a Web Service. Our common library, qRules, is an example of the former and I believe Hilary has blogged how to set this up via a command (i.e. you just inject qRules and use Rules to access qRules code that does the SQL ...

Hi Corrie,
Was there a reason why you didn't just use a Form Library? InfoPath will automatically associate the template to the new button if you publish it as a form library. You may be able to get it to work in a Document Library if you publish as a content type and enable the doc library for content types. After you've done that, go to ...

Hi TyHarrison and welcome!
We have developed both and would be happy to share them with you for the time it takes us to help you configure them. They use a SQL database and a Web Service though since you can't use Access-backed InfoPath forms to have users submit over the Web.
I'd be happy to show you a quick demonstration and ...

Hi Rob,
Microsoft just released some training content that we created earlier this year regarding Office 365. One of Hilary's modules focuses on REST. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/IP2010ExtData. Lots of great resources to help you learn REST syntax.
The easiest thing to do is to just use the Sesame Data Browser. It's a ...

Hi Ladyath,
Are you talking about merging multiple XML forms into one XML form using the File->Save&Send->Merge Forms option? If so, you'll need to make sure each original form has the username in it. Then, change the XSLT file associated with the ImportParameters node in your manifest.xsf. You can use your favorite XML editor or ...

Hi CaroleB and welcome,
To reduce your maintenance costs down the road, the recommended best practice is to create a common code library that you can use in all of your form templates. We have created one that we sell to help defray the cost of this free forum. It's called qRules. It contains several techniques for copying repeating values ...

Hi DThomson and welcome,
In the data source, you should be able to add a group node under the main root node and from that add a file attachment. I recommend converting this attachment to a link by uploading it to a file share. That way the XML is smaller and you can edit the file attachments without having to open InfoPath. To do this, you ...
