  • Re: Export method

Hi Lee, Thanks for posting the info on the limitations of Export. The SDK only has an example of exporting to a directory, but I agree it's not clear. Anyway, looks like it doesn't support WebDAV. I still think you are better off using the XSL Tool to do the downlevel since it will a) not require any code, b) not result in two files (which ...

  • Re: Repeating Tables and Expressions...

Hi Sainzmichael, Welcome to the board! Can you reply with the calculation/xpath that you are using for the function? Also, what's the data source look like? You might want to take a look at the code in the Invoice, Timecard, or Absence Request solutions to see how totals are calculated, but those are all version 1 solutions written in script and ...

  • Repeating Tables and Expressions...

Hey all...first time posting here. Once I saw all the good information here, thought I would try it out ;) I have made a order form with a repeating table for line items, very similar to the Invoicing sample. Problem is, I am binding all the textboxes and stuff to SQL. I guess that isn't the real problem here. The real problem is form ...

  • Re: Submitting forms

    1. Yes there is a way that we can give Form xml as an Email body. In this case also we need to create the Email dataconnection. To set the email body we need to write some code. Here is the code snippet that can be used EmailAdapter oEmail = (EmailAdapter)thisXDocument.DataAdapters[''Email Submit'']; //Here we are getting the email connection ...

  • Submitting forms

I'm new at this but I know there are 2 ways to submit a form: 1. creating a data connection and a submit button (in this case, we can set who the recipient of the form is, and the subject. The form will be sent as an xml attachment) 2. clicking file--> 'submit to email recipient' (in this case, users have to type in who the email will go ...

  • Re: Export method

    Hi, I have now got a work around for this problem as follows: var DECOID = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:DecoID'').text; XDocument.View.Export(''c:\\DECO '' + DECOID + ''.doc'', ''MHT''); var objApp = new ActiveXObject(''Word.Application''); objApp.Visible = false; objApp.Documents.Open(''c:\\DECO '' + DECOID + ...

  • Passing Argument to Sharepoint

I'm trying to add a hyperlink to my form that enables user to upload a document to a document library folder. For instance the form Title is ''myForm.xml'' and the document library folder name is ''AttachmentFolder''. In the ''AttachmentFolder'' library, I've created a column named ''FormFileName''. So this is the scenario I'm trying to ...

  • Re: Export method

Hi again, Why not just create a view onto the XML using the XSL Tool in the SDK? That way, you won't have two versions of the XML file and you don't have to be full trust. We do this all the time. In fact, I believe we have a snippet of code lying around that you can add to a column on your SharePoint view to create a link that when clicked will ...

  • Re: Infopath is ok for my job ?

Yes, Save as MHT from the File menu will get you a version of HTML. We have tools to allow you to post content back to a database from a downlevel view of the InfoPath form. In essence, you are then using InfoPath as a web page designer. We will be selling these tools for a small fee on our website in the next few weeks. Stay tuned! Patrick ...
