  • Re: To Decimal, or not to Decimal...

Can you actually copy paste your ''XPath'' or the line of code that uses the xpath here. I think it has something to do with the code because usually you do not get validation errors when ''XPath's'' are executed. You get errors only when the xpath is wrong or the underlying code is wrong. Agni InfoPathDev India

  • Re: Handling events on objects

Sorry for being late but I dont think we can really intercept the events of the Child form in the Master Form, after you start another form it exists on its own and cannot talk to its parent. Agni InfoPathDev India

  • Re: query data source

Yes it is possible to check whether the query is successful or not, You need to check for the number of rows that the dataconnection XML has. For that you can use the ''count()'' method. For ex: It could be like this ''count(xdXDocument:GetDOM(''NameTable'')/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Table)'' Where ''NameTable'' is your secondary ...

  • Form reverts to a previous version on 'approve'

I'm really struggling with this one: I have an InfoPath form published to SPS Form library. User creates new form then can revisit it during the current week to update as necessary. The problem doesn't come in until a manager (any user in the manager roll) comes along, opens the form and clicks Approve. The only thing the approve button does is ...

  • query data source

I'm a bit confused. In the rules box of a conttrol, I see that I can query a data source. My confusion is I do I use the result? When you do a query is it possible to determine if it succeed or not? I'm using Infopath to maintain a simple database. When the key field is entered, I want to query and see if the key has been previously entered. ...

  • Re: Populate data on the form when it opens

Hi Jason, According to my guess ''thisXDocument.View.ExecuteAction(''xCollection::insert'', ''ContactDetails_1'')'' statement is not working, because in onload method ''View'' object is not created and you are trying to Insert a row with the help of ''View'' object. You can find this by taking you mouse hover the ''View'' in the above ...
