See attached. However, in InfoPath 2010, I don't see an option to add a filter to the repeating table that is connected to the secondary data source....
Edit: Of course, it is under Manage Rules. I'm still adapting to the UI changes!

Smart solution! So, you'll concat the field with a string of 6 dashes, then use substring to return the first 6 characters.... Thanks for posting your answer, in case someone else comes looking for something like this.

Here's a link to the Office 2010 trial -- you could install just InfoPath so that you'd be able to check it out.
As to pricing, I'm afraid I don't know a thing -- you really may just need to talk to Microsoft for that.... Unless another forum member has an idea?

What about adding a status field to the form (you don't have to show it on the form, but you'd want to promote it to SharePoint). Then, when the user "Submits" the form, you could use rules for the submit -- one could set that field to "Submitted", the other could submit the form to the form library... your workflow ...

Save the attached file locally, and right click, select Design from the menu to open in design mode. Preview the form and try GenerateGuid now. The issue seems to be a second action that you'd added the rule to query a data source. For qRules, we only need to set the command field value for the action to take place -- no need to add an action ...

That helps, then. That means there may be an issue with the injection. Can you try re-injecting the trial? And then try GenerateGuid again? If you get the same error, could you reply to this post and attach your template (under the Options tab, you can attach a file) so that I can take a look?

It is true. InfoPath does not manage printing well.
Are you saving your data to SQL? (If your forms weren't built to submit to SQL, DBXL can help with that).
If your data is in SQL, SQL reports can be a handy way to address the complexities of printing.
It looks like InfoPath 2010 allows you to add form fields to headers and footers (and ...

Gee, I should have read that a bit closer. You're using a concat formula to set the value as equal to a field in your form. Sorry!
So does the field have a value when you run the command? Can you try running another command, like GenerateGuid, and check the result node to see if you get a GUID? That way we'll know that qRules is injected ...

Hi there -- thanks for trying qRules. So you are trying to return items where BU column is blank? The documentation for that command suggests using /value=" (page 32). Can you try that and see what result you have?

I would try "text". Since IP stores dates in ISO format, I think that dates might sort correctly as text....
You can add the code back in -- as of v2.2 you can use qRules with custom code (we can thank Jimmy for that!). You'll find more information on page 46 of the user guide.
