Hi:
Does the form have to submit to the DB? I think if you build the form off a SQL view, you could do this, but if you build off a view you won't be able to submit....
Otherwise, I fear you may have to modify the query in code....

Is your form browser compatible? I found that "SelectText" was not available for browser forms but is for client forms....

What happens on the laptop if you try to modify one of the data connections that work else where? Have you walked through the data connection wizard on that machine?
Just out of curiosity, why do the forms need to be full trust? Do you have custom code in them?

I really didn't think about this one enough -- there is a lot of information about the view in the manifest.xsf, and that means you'd need to make a lot of manual modifications. Really, the easiest route would be to have different designers work on entirely different forms -- maybe someone could create a base template to start from that ...

The behavior you describe doesn't exactly seem like you want to highlight if changed -- but that you want to highlight all the dates that are populated when the form is opened. Is that the case? You'll end up needing to add some kind of helper field for this -- maybe an attribute to the date field? You could call it "highlight" ...

So you published a completely different InfoPath form to your dev ShP (with promoted properties) and don't have promoted properties populating? That would make it seem there is an issue with your SharePoint installation.

This looks like a UDC file? Who wrote the code for the actual web service: http://######/AbilityClientList/service1.asmx, and it looks like the GetClients method?
Basically, InfoPath doesn't offer a way to sort a data source. qRules does, tho.... as well as a lot of other things that IP doesn't natively support.
