  • Re: Help for a newbie

Thank you Patrick. Your explanation has pretty much convinced me I am in over my head. Is there any way to export the forms and data to Access?

  • tabbed view

What info path really needs is to add a ''tabbed'' view like ONE NOTE has. For long forms, it's really difficult to just print certain pages, especailly since you have to be in Print Preview mode to even see what page number you want. A tabbled view would put folder tabs at the top that are easily selected and would orgainize the form more like ...

  • Faxing - the holy grail.

I'm trying have INFOPATH automatically fax a form and pull the fax number from a data field. That way you don't have to go through the MS fax wizard, which kills any kind of automation. I know that this can be done since I keep hearing rumors. Anyone have a source on this? This is the holy grail of medical records and no software out there ...

  • Re: Master/Detail link to outside XML document

Thanks for the reply Agni. I was beginning to suspect that was going to be the answer. The help files do mention doing this exact same thing between an XML document and a database like MSACCESS. It seems that they should make it work with other XML documents as well. Larry Kropp M.D.

  • Re: Repeating Table with Dynamic Query

Hi Richard, Me too !!! :) Anyway, Googling is great. Almost rhymes with Ogling. Makes you wonder if they weren't thinking the answer to MS's question: where do you want to go today? Was: Go Ogle. Not sure in what context though. Anyway, to get to your question: you can change your Web service to return only a set number of values or filter them ...

  • Re: populate drop down on form load

Well... Here is what I'm trying to do.. I have a form to request changes.. When filling out a new form... I'm trying to limit what the user can choose in the field submitted by. They should be able to select their name from a list. The drop down list needs to be filled with names from a SQL table when the form loads. I guess I will be using ...
