When you open the form, you have red x's or non-functional fields in the form? Can you post a screen shot?

Data connectors have a Timeout property you should be able to set. What was your code that didn't do anything?

Sounds like you accidentally set the form to save using code. For InfoPath 2007, navigate to Tools / Form Options  and select the Programming section. If you've accidentally added code, you can use the Remove Code button. If you need help, just post your template here and I'll take care of it.

No, qRules doesn't generate CAML files -- it actually handles the entire submit process. You simply add some data connections and provide a mapping and the tool does the rest.

Have you seen this blog post by Greg Collins? It sounds as if as long as you created your form off a schema without a namespace and didn't provide a target or default namespace you may be able to do this...
