When previewing the form, I believe if you click Tools (or one of the other menu options) and then click ''Go to next error'', InfoPath will tell you where the error is. If the error is not in the current view, you can expand the detail and it will show you where the error is.

Agni,
Yes, I would like to insert the fields as text, something that would look like this:
Date: 9/2/05
City/State: Flint, MI
Originator: wcotech
Activity Type: Testing
My data fields are set up as follows:
d:king
-d:NOFA_Number
--@Date
--@City/State
--@Activity_Type
--etc...
-d:User
--User Name (originator)

Hi WCOTech,
Why not just attach it to your main dom and send the InfoPath form as an attachment?
I would do that but I only want a few of the fields from the form to be included (i.e. Date,City/State,Originator,Activity Type), not the entire form which would be too much information.

Agree with you completely. I personally would not advise the usage of a SharePoint list but that was what you were asking about.
Suggest from a scalability standpoint that you move to a web service to return your data. That will decouple your from future changes to your data source. For example, you switch from SQL Server to Oracle or SAP or ...

In my opinion, InfoPath is a great tool for building GUIs and it is built completely on an independant standard (XML, XSL, etc). For workflow, you will have to build some extra code to move the form from one user to another.
I have recently built a purchase approval process for a manufactoring company in 9 weeks using InfoPath for the GUI layer, ...

Use the OnAfterChange event on the Contact Name field. To quickly add an event, double click on the field, click on data validation button, there is an events dropdown, select OnAfterChange and press the edit button. In that event handler, go out to whatever datasource you have and get the e-mail address.
You cannot use the other two events ...
