It seems likely that this is an IE setting. Can you compare the IE settings between your laptop and your pc?

Hi -- I think you are saying that your submit connection gave you an error because the fields used to make up the name of the file had a "." in one of them?
Here's a link to a Microsoft KB article about file names. The period character cannot be used at the end of a file name -- is it possible your submit connection used that ...

Are the views similar? Any chance at all that the view that is being opened is the one with the submit button that uses the data connection for submitting to "Jim"? Maybe while you troubleshoot, change the text on your buttons to specify which submit connection is being used in the rules, or pop up a message prior to submitting with that ...

Hi:
What version of InfoPath and SharePoint are you using? I think with 2010, SharePoint list connections have query fields... that would allow you to populate a query field before running the query.
Is it the loading of the data or the displaying of the data on the form that is causing your slow load time? You could try opening the form to a ...

Hi:
Yes, I'm saying to create a database connection and then use code to modify the command the connection uses -- this prevents having to make your form full trust, because you are using an IP data connection. The form was created in IP 2010, set to IP 2007 compatibility and admin deployed as a content type so it could be ...

It just seems so odd that you were able to publish as a content type originally, and now cannot, not even when you create a brand new form. I'd have your admin look at the error logs and see if there is any info there that could help.

Have you tried adding fields to your form that are bound to the receive connection so that you can see whether the connection returns values? Can others who are using the web service tell you a value known to work for the match parameter that you can try?
-
As to your web service, try adding a query connection to it in your form. The query parameter (match) looks like it accepts a string, and from the name of the web method (GetEmployeesByNameOrId), I'd think you could enter either a name or an alias (guessing as to what Id is).
So, add a query connection, put in your alias for the match ...
