I think you could do it but you would have to create seperate data connections for DB type. Then you would have to do some trickery to call the correct data source either through code or rules based upon the combobox selection. Personally, I think that would be a less scaleable and maintainable solution. This sounds a little repetitive to some ...

What I am wanting to do is give the user the option to connect to either a local access mdb or a db server such as SQLServer or Oracle. I would like it if the user was given a prompt that would have the avaliable data sources in a combo box that they can select. The schemas for ...

I like the second option, but you don't need to attach code. Just define rules to print and then change a sentinel field's value and follow the rest of Matt's explanation. No code required!

Why not do this in the taskpane using typical HTML password controls?

Hi Marie and welcome to our forum,
Can you change your data source so that there is repeat grouping in your detail section? Just add a group node and then move the detail section below it and make it repeating. Then, you can add new sections without adding the master part. Hope this helps,

For a published form, you can trust the site that has the Access data source. Another option is to create a full-trust InfoPath form.

Hi Sreedharsrvv,
I'm not sure I understand the problem you are having. Have you tried doing the work you describe, or are you looking for someone who has a solution already? Sorry for my confusion.
