Hi,
to create the file open dialog I usually use visual studio .net. After installing InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio .NET (the link is on the right of main page of this site), you can create an Infopath Templete inside visual basic and you can add to the templete the .net code...it's an integrated environment, i like it. :)

Thanks for your reply. I tried double clicking the button and this opens script editor with javascript(script.js). I wrote java script code to open file dialog but it throws error. Its not recogonizing javascript objects like 'document' . Which language do u mean by .net (jscript/vbscript/c#..?). I am very new to infopath and scripting ...
