I am reporting that I was able to get this working but I can't explain why. What I did was create a new default view that was in fact a dummy. The OnLoad event did a SwitchView to the the right form. So I have been able to create a digital certificate and sign and then deploy a trusted form in a test lab. In the real deployment we would purchase a code signing certifiate from a CA.
My question is this, since the certifiates that are used expire, what happens to the form when they expire? Do we need to re-publish the form, with a new code ...

Hey All, About client signing forms
Does anyone know what happens to an infopath form when digital signatures on it that clients sign it with expire? This is like the personal ones used in emails, etc.

I have a Infopath form that was designed in .NET , however it does not include any coding. I just used the .Net Infopath environment to design it.
The issue I have is a user who is trying to fill out thi form cannot open the form and this user does not have .Net FRAMEWORK installed on her machine. Other users can open this form however ...

I have come up with an answer of sorts, and I'll post it for review:
I've used the OnSwitchView event to check for when the 'approval' view is selected. For each of the optional sections I wish to include I test the checkbox value, set in the 'request' view, and use xOptional::insert to add it in if required.
