You have some switched commas and quotes right here:
concat("SetValue /xpath=dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetFormDatasetResponse/tns:GetFormDatasetResult/ns1:dsForms/ns1:Clients[, "
That should be [",
That being said, it seems like it might be helpful to clarify for you how the concat formula works. The concat formula takes ...

Hi --
I'm trying to understand if you have multiple rows in your ShP list, but only one row is being returned, or if you have columns in your list that don't show in your data source in InfoPath.
Is the field related to the rows in your data source showing as repeating? What type of secondary data connection are you using?

I think you can do that using simple rules. I get a bit confused about which data source you talking about sometimes, but if you want to take values from the dataset returned by your owssvr.dll data connection and populate fields in your main data source, you can use rules. You'll need to use a filter to get the correct value from your ...

Didn't realize your form was using custom code. Create a test form with an out of the box email submit connection, see if you have troubles with it.

The formula needs to go into the formula editor. Next to the value box in the rule action is a button that looks like this: fx
Click that button, then paste your formula in the editor box.

Your XPaths are incorrect, and I'm seeing some odd characters in them. The original <> marks were to indicate place holders. concat("SetValue /xpath=dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetFormDatasetResponse/tns:GetFormDatasetResult/ns1:dsForms/ns1:Clients[," count(preceding::ns1:Clients) + 1, "]/ns1:CustAddress1 ...

count(preceding::ns1:Clients) + 1 will get you the index of the current client section in the rule on your button.

If your field were in a secondary data source (like an XML file), you wouldn't need to clear it, since secondary data isn't saved with the form. You'd have to know what to set it to when the XML was re-opened or the form was first opened, of course...

Hi -- Are you using InfoPath 2010?
Sometimes if I have this error, I need to open InfoPath Filler, then under "New" or "Recent", I'll see the Admin form template. Right click and choose the option to get updates, then try opening again.
If that doesn't work, let me know, or if you aren't using IP 2010....
