Hi,
Make sure that your customers have the Framework 1.1 installed. Then, make sure that Office (or InfoPath alone) is installed on top of the Framework. If the Framework is installed AFTER Office, you need to install the Office 2003 ...

OK, we are making progress here. Are you using the ''Repeating Recursive Section'' control? Can you tried to use regular ''Repeating Section'' (with another repeating section inside)?

Have tried that. It doesn't seem to crash when you Open it anymore, but it still will not create the recursive repeating group. It just seems to ignore the my:list altogether and doesnt even create a choice section for it.

Hi Jay,
Do you want to do this when the form is loaded or on the fly (people re-ordering your rows based on a column header clicked)?

Hi Adam,
If you try a few of the features that you are trying to implement in a new blank form, with a schema totally re-designed from scratch, does it work?

Hi Jay,
Yes, a Category for you is just a row in the repeating section. Now, if each Category has a unique Id (let's say an attribute). You can loop through repeating sections and add values to running totals based on Ids. You can get creative here, based on your business requirements.

Can i order/sort instances of repeating sections when displayed. For example I want to display repeated sections based on date (ascending). - I dont want to filter the data.

So would this code search through the results and calculate totals where the data in ''My:field1'' matches (between instances of repeating sections). Therefore allowing me to have a dynamic totalling of values even if a new category is added in ''My:field1''?

I will give an official welcome for Patrick (site guru).
On my last InfoPath project I highly utilized the custom task pane to do many things. For instance, I embedded search functionality into the taskpane to call a webservice. You can pass data easily between the task pane and the InfoPath form.
Excuse the VBScript example but it will get ...
