• Re: Multiple Page Setups in Printable Forms

Hey Brian. Good post. Printing in InfoPath is a bit tricky. It was designed to be an electronic form primarily. Do you have InfoPath 2007? It has some improvements for printing over 2003. Typically you would design your from views for your input and electronic use and then create one print view. If one doesn't work, you ...

  • Re: Repeating a Ruled Textfield

There are sevral ways to do this but one that is easy and pretty effective is to create a repeating group in your main data source and use it to create a repeating table or section. Place a drop down on the ID or contact name which gets its values from the SharePoint data. So for the first contact they want in there form they would select ...

  • Re: Infopath form giving "Query is too complex" error when submitting to MS Access db

So is this happening on new records or modifying an existing record or both? The record look up is working fine? You are getting all of the data? When you view the data connections does it say both receive and submit? That is one clue if the submit is broken but I believe you would not get this error. I would create a new for as a test and just ...

  • Re: Infopath form giving "Query is too complex" error when submitting to MS Access db

Hi Dawn. So you have created a InfoPath from from scratch as a database type? Are you referring to querying the data, to see it in the form or submitting it, after you change it in the form, back to the database? These two tables must be related with primary keys or you would not be able to submit them. Can you display the data in your ...

  • Re: Repeating a Ruled Textfield

So you are building a repeating group within your form from SharePoint data in a secondary data source. You want to select the first set of data with an ID and then number from there? I would think you could set an intial value and then as you insert rows have the default value be ID + 1. So on selection it would set the first field but ...

  • Re: Carriage Returns/Formating of Intro in 2003

That may be tougher, I am not sure if InfoPath has a set format of the email or if it is determined by the defualt for each Outlook client. Whether it is HTML, or plain or rich text. You could experiment with some html characters to try and see if you can do it but it may not be consistent. To me it is easier for them just to open the form. With ...

  • Re: Storage Error

I would check your amount of free memory. Wierd things happen in InfoPath when you are out of memory. What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Reboot? Others get the same thing? All queries give this error or only a specific one?

  • Re: Error 2869 at install

Sorry you are having issues. Can you post the complete error message? It should be in your event viewer under Qdabra. Also what are the details of the machine where you are installing it? If you would like, we could set up a web meeting for one of us to take a look at it.

  • Re: Problems in publishing Infopath form

Hi Joseph. The user must open the XSN file to begin a new form. That is how InfoPath works. You can give them read only to the XSN so they cannot change it. You also can turn off design mode in the form so they cannot edit it as redily either. When published to a network share or SharePoint you can give them a URL link to the ...
