Last » Re: Infopath forms in library will not open in browser Yeah, you can only do that in 2010, so I wouldn't have expected you to find anything. It was probably very easy to make new ones in the main interface that work as expected, so glad it's resolved. Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-31-2009 Re: Infopath forms in library will not open in browser You can only customize views in SPD for 2010. In 2007, the only thing you can do with SPD is create custom data views, but those aren't list/library views. I suggest creating NEW views that show the same fields as the old views that are wierd, and then try to delete the old views and use the new ones that have the Type field instead of ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-31-2009 Re: Infopath forms in library will not open in browser You don't change "edit" to "type." You simply go into each view and select the Type column and deselect the Edit column. All of the stuff you mentioned does show up in every view when modifying it. If you see nothing, then you have a problem with your system. If you didn't create the views, then who ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-30-2009 Re: Infopath forms in library will not open in browser I recommend that instead of using the Edit icon, use the Type field, which shows the InfoPath icon. People will not get a context menu nor an edit button, but rather a simple InfoPath icon to click on. When they click it, it will always open in the browser as long as the form library is set to default to browser mode. As an aside, it ... I've gleaned from your 2nd post that we don't need separate forms necessarily, but you do need separate views while maintaining some of the same data. It's ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-30-2009 Re: Opening a second form to fill out They can't open anything on your desktop. It needs to be published somewhere, such as a Network Location or SharePoint form library. Once published to a location everyone can get to, you point people to it, they click it, it opens an XML file based off the XSN template, and then they can submit. The submit can do several ... I cannot replicate what you're saying - it does not happen in my environment. You said no other PC in the org behaves that way, so it would seem it's something strange that is specific to the old PC. It could be the version of InfoPath installed (or not installed) or a ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-30-2009 Re: Sharepoint and streaming video Don't think this is InfoPath related. SQL does not handle BLOBs well, so it's best not to put video files directly into SharePoint. It's best to have the video elsewhere and just have a link to the file in SharePoint. It should invoke whatever player you have when clicked, but I don't know of an embedded media player ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-30-2009 Re: Save Infopath Function in Sharepoint I don't understand what you mean. You can save your form template anywhere you want, but in order to utilize an InfoPath form template that requires admin-approval, you must upload it to Central Admin in the InfoPath Forms Services area, activate it, then utilize the new content type in the chosen site collection. I don't ... To alleviate this, I just use fixed sizes on my controls. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-30-2009 Page 11 of 98 (971 items) « First ... < Previous 9 10 11 12 13 Next > ...
