Yes, this helped. I successfully brought the data down. I now want to edit and submit back using "SubmittoSharepoint" command in qrules.
I can only create a mapping.xml to fields / groups in the main data source.

can qrules query the version history, i.e. date and content of changed fields as displayed when you view the history of a sharepoint list?
