Last » Re: Display form submit success/failure message Hi, Maureen: I hope I'm not overlooking some detail you provided earlier -- if I have, I apologize in advance. First off, this final post where you include a screenshot of an IP 2007 form -- is this form set up with the same submit rules as the form where you are not getting your submit dialogs? Or is this a different form, and the screen ... Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? Yes, that would be my best guess. And now you know my top-secret troubleshooting methods. I always start with a clean form, see if I can reproduce the issue I'm having. If I can't reproduce in a new form, I try a new view in my existing form. If my new view doesn't show the same symptoms, I copy things over to my new view and proceed ... So, now let's try copying everything in your current view into your new view, publish, try form in browser, do the controls work as anticipated in the new view? Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? No, I'm saying from your main data source, drag the repeating group that makes up your table on your current view onto a new view. Add conditional formatting (Status = Saved or whatever) to this test table. Open your form in the browser in your normal way, in the normal view, and do the stuff that populates that table in your main data source. ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: Dynamic CHANGESUBMITURL Well. I can't preview it because it is bound to a web service, so there goes that great idea. qRules should have installed a sample form when you installed the full version. From the Start menu, under Qdabra / Tools / qRules, select Sample qRules Form. The first command will be the ChangeSubmitUrl command, click on it to change to that ... Add a new view to your form, toss your table on there, and add conditional formatting to this new table in this new view. Still just trying to narrow things down here.... This article on Office Online specifically states that we can use conditional formatting in browser forms. Instead of plucking out your eyeballs with an olive fork, why don't you follow through the brief tutorial in that link, and publish the resulting form, see if you have different results? Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? Step away from the olive fork. What are the postback settings on the controls that aren't behaving? What about the controls that affect the filtering for those controls? That is -- you mention picking a job. What is postback set to on the control where the user picks a job? Generally, I expect browser forms to only behave well in IE.... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? It sounds like you have a few different issues going on here? First, if you are in design mode, when your form's compatibility is set to browser, do you have any errors or informational warnings in the design checker? Second, I usually set my postback to always for fields or controls that are executing qRules commands. But you say "this ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-04-2011 Re: Binding infopath dropdown control to a datatable(DataSet) Hi: Per the emails you sent me, it seems as if you have a few different data sources that would be used to provide options to the user in the drop down based on who the user is. One option would be to have a number of drop down controls on your form, each bound to the same field, and each using different data sources for their items. Then use ...
