Hi Mipe,
Correct, this is a limitation. My suggestion would be to add some guidance text (static label) to the form to tell people what to do. The other possibility is to use links instead of inline attachments (this will actuall reduce the size of your XML forms too).

Hi Thierry,
Sorry for our long vacation. Hey, can you post repro steps? We can verify that this was the same or not on SP1 before bugging Microsoft about it.

Hi MeWTwoWomen,
I'm a bit confused. The <Submit> button should also show the popup. The e-mail popup is a security thing for all e-mail sent from InfoPath. You may have two data connections tied to your custom submit button, but I need more information. Are you using a custom button or the default submit button? Do you have rules on these ...

Ok Anders. It works properly!
Actually, I've created the form library in the SP directly and then published it. However, I submit the form in another DOC library (by jscript) that doesn't have the Status field.
So, I will change the submit path to the original form library that I published and map the Status column.
Thanks a lot.
Doug.

In that case, try this How-To from Greg:http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=554349415b544aa18f2dff9a864bc9af
Hope that it helps.

You can just filter the second list based on the first list.
Do a quick search on the words 'dropdown' and 'filter' and you should get a thorough description on how to do this.
