Last » Re: Retrieving multiple attachments from DBXL to InfoPath forms I was wrong, I'm afraid -- this works great for pictures (open the .xsd for the secondary data connection, change data type from xsd:string to xsd:base64Binary, then you can add a picture control bound to your secondary data source) but does not work for files. IP won't allow you to insert a file attachment control. With manual ... Generally, you need for any form that pulls info from a data source to be set up to query the data source and then copy the information into the correct fields. The specifics of how to approach this depends on factors like where the data comes from, what versions of InfoPath (and SharePoint, if that is ... I'm afraid I don't know how you would get the IP for the user who opened the browser form..... I'm forwarding a link to your post to Jimmy Rishe (also of Qdabra), in case he may have an idea... I've read through it, and I keep coming back to your first post. Please correct me if I am mistaken on anything:You are saving XML data from forms to SQL using DBXLOne of the fields from your XML that you are saving is base 64 from a file attachment controlYou want to be able to pull this ... To my knowledge there should be no issue with having multiple controls bound to the same data source with different formatting on them (again, you know what I'll say -- test in a sample form. Create a repeating group in your data source, add a bunch of controls on the form bound to that table, set them with different formatting -- in fact, you ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-05-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? CopyTable doesn't run when the form opens, does it? Yet your controls don't post back initially. Try a sample form, see what happens -- just create a simple sample with the same controls that are causing you troubles on open in this form. Publish it and see how it behaves in the browser. If your qRules link isn't being submitted to ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-05-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? Since your issue seems to be one of postbacks, it is expected it would work in client as anticipated.... So, not to belabor the basics, but you have mentioned before you have various tables connected to the same data showing on your form, and that they have conditional formatting on them... any chance you have these controls on your form more ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-05-2011 Re: 2010 Browser forms w/ conditional formatting? I find this confusing as well, simply because the data is separate from controls in InfoPath. Thus, there is no reason that deleting, adding, updating data would change something like how a control works (barring, of course, conditional formatting, etc). Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 01-05-2011 Re: How to use IF statement when creating Rule In this case, the simplest solution may be two drop downs. One has a filter to show Email. The other shows Email2. Both still have the company filter as it currently exists. Then, add conditional formatting to your drop down controls. Display one if Redirect is equal to true, the other if it is not.... But you will need someone with access to Central Admin to deploy your published form. Here's a blog post that may help you with those steps.
