Hi BYoung and welcome to our forum, Chapters 2 and 10 in my book have tutorials on this integration and Chapter 9 is devoted to SharePoint. What is your integration scenario? Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: Webservice Sharepoint & Infopath C#

Hi Michel and Happy New Year! Which SharePoint Web service do you want to call? There should be sample code on the MSDN site (in the labs). We also have a lot of snippets lying around. Please advise on your scenario, and I'll ask Agni to reply with some code. Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: Drop Down Refresh Issue

Hi Amar, Make sure that the option to call the Web Service on load is disabled. Go to data connections. Click on the Web service and go through the wizard until you find the checkbox (I think it is the last step in the wizard). You can bind a dropdown to a secondary data source but you will have to use some event (like a refresh button click) to ...

  • Re: Sql accessing by code-sqlclientpermission error

Best way to avoid it is to use a Web service. We have written forms that integrate with SQL directly and do not require Full Trust. I will ask Agni to respond since I know he has experience in this area. Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: domEventHandlers node in manifest file

Hi Tatopitta! Happy New Year. Yes, you can delete them but that means they will no longer be called. There is a bug in the Visual Studio plug-in that removes them all the time with no adverse effects other than the fact that you don't have them anymore. You can remove the entire DomEventHandlers section if you want. Good luck! Patrick Halstead ...

Or you can use the ''/aggregate'' switch and a separate xmo file with the parameters. Search for ''command line parameters aggregate''. Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Passing Parameters to InfoPath via Command Line

Hello, I need to pass a number(key) to an InfoPath form when opening it via Internet Explorer. I'm opening the form from within a Java web application that sends the URL to IE. ''\\server\formsfolder\form.xsn'' I was wondering if there's a way to send the form a parameter directly in the URL link. If not, is there some other way to do ...

  • Re: Adding Numeric Values in Drop-Down List

Hi, Is your dropdown binded to a Dataconnection or did you enter values entries manually? If dropdown is binded to a dataconnection then here are the steps, //Get dataconnection DOM which populates the dropdown. var domDataConnection = XDocument.GetDom(''dataconnectionname''); //Get list of repeating nodes which fill the dropdown var nodeList = ...
