Thank you vt_asparagus,
It works and return all fields-value in each row.
If I want only one fields-value from that result, what should I do.

I'm not great at SQL and that looks like a rather complex statement, but try moving the order by clause outside of the brackets and putting it at the end of the line.
If that doesn't work, leave the first one where it is and add an additional order by clause at the end.
Hope this helps, just an educated guess on my part.

Hi:
I have a number of dropdown controls pulling their lists from a SQL database. I have created separate form data connections for each dropdown so that I can add an order by clause and have my list sorted in ascending order. This works very well for my main table. I am unable to get the order by clause to work for my child tables, however. Here ...

Could someone help me out with the merge? I'm having a bit of trouble.
Here's the command line:
<pathtooffice>\INFOPATH.EXE /aggregate C:\Temp\Params.xml C:\Temp\TestForm2.xsn

<Param name=''ID'' value=''Test2''/>
</Params>

I'm just trying to be cross-compatible. I can't guarantee they installed it in the default location. I'm trying to make this as simple as possible.
Question though, can I just read an XML file from a specific location during the OnLoad event without going through the Form Merge process?
Thanks

Why don't you know where InfoPath is installed on Client's machines? Is it because you are trying to be as cross-compatible as possible?
You could try using some system variables on the command prompt to find InfoPath, or you could add the user's install directory to the Path variable and you will have infopath.exe available ...

This could be done using code and an intermediate storage facility. You will have your original fields in one set of data and then use code to grab the the last n characters from the fields and write them into a new table. Then populate your drop-down with this ''converted'' table.
Hope this helps!

Welcome...
Pretty simple. In a for loop you can do something like:
for (i=0;i<XDocument.DOM.selectNodes(...XPath...).length;i++) {
XDocument.DOM.selectNodes(...XPath...)(index).text
}

Hmm did you try placing your assembly in the GAC?
