What language are you using? I can write a little piece of code to help out.

Looks like I'll have to use code and a few bottles of wine to deal with this!!
Thanks

Unfortunately there is no DateDiff formula in InfoPath. You have use code.

perfect!!!
The only problem is code makes cry! :>
Is there a way I could do this with the fields value formula?

This article has information regarding Date Calculations in InfoPath, which might answer your first question.

I need to have a field that displays the number of days left for a project. I have a field showing todays date, and one showing the project deadline date. I'd like to display the remaing days in a 3rd field. I'd also like to disable the 3rd control once the deadline has been met.

You want to create a SharePoint list to contain the email list. Then you need to add the data connection to the list on your form. You can add the addresses to the To line in your submit logic.
-
How do you apply this to opening a file in a shared folder on a networked computer?
-
I think you will have to store the project ID in each of the rows, then you can do filtering and conditional formatting on it.

Probably something like this:
XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode( ''/my:myFields/my:textboxField'' ).text;
Hope this helps!
