I don't know much about infopath but need to make a timecard. The template for the detailed timecard is basically all I need. Instead of the absence report I need a second week of attendance reporting. Is there an easy way to get this done?

Hi Asparagus,
Thanks for your help!
I changed the data connection to allow for this and it works. To get the names to differ and make more sense I needed to work in a field name and a function using the concat method. Works like a charm!

Hi Bashira,
You don't want to e-mail the whole form, just vertain fields. Is that correct?
You can use the data connection wizard to configure a button to send to different people depending on an XPath rule. However, to restrict the fields sent is harder (=as InfoPath assumes that you will always send the entire XML. You can choose to not attach ...

This is filtering. Check out the HowTo articles. There should be a bunch describing how to do this.

Hi Waynester,
Thanks for the link!
Hi Melissa,
Dates are special because the SQL type (SharePoint) is different from the XML type (XSD, or InfoPath). You'll have to conver the XSD ones into a string that matches the SQL ones and try promoting that. May or may not work. I'm not sure if chapter 9 [edit: in Patrick Halsteads book ''Developing ...
