Multi-selects are different from other field types. They are bound to a repeating field. When you select an item, a new instance of that field is added to the underlying form data. When you unselect an item, that field is removed. InfoPath doesn't offer us any rule based way to add / delete fields, which makes this type of control very hard to ...

So, here is what happens in Filler.... InfoPath caches form templates to make them load faster next time. But sometimes, when we are working on a form, we'll publish one with an issue that will block it from opening in Filler at all (like your template had). Then the "bad" template is stuck in the cache, and since it won't open, ...

Got it! Ok, so you probably have it cached in Filler. Open InfoPath Filler on your machine and go to the New menu. Find the form. So - the basic syntax is:
concat("Here is my text: ", field picked from field picker, " and here is more text ", another field picked from field picker) Does that help? :)

Can you attach the entire template? If it is too large, you can email me via the forum - I'll reply and you can attach to a reply.
-
This must be a list form - right? Can you tell me what is not working in your concat, or attach your form under the Options tab in a reply, so I can take a look?

Search your View files - it may be a reference there for a dropdown or conditional formatting rule.

Browser forms do sometimes behave differently than filler - when rendered in the browser, they are using InfoPath Forms Services instead of the InfoPath product. There are variances between the two.
