It would be nice if we could move multiple fields from one group to another in the Data Source view
-
Thanks, I looked for this, but obviously not hard enough.
-
I believe you can only move a field or a group at a time.
-
How can I move more than 1 field at a time to a new group in the Data Source?
-
On the Tools menu, click Options. In the Options dialog box, click the Design tab, and then clear the Create labels for controls automatically when adding from data source check box.
-
When I drag a field from the Data source onto a table, a label gets added automatically. Is there any way to disable this feature?
-
Is it possible to create a repeating table that has some rows already partially populated with default values and then allow the user to add additional rows if needed?

Hi,
Follow below steps to get your desired scenario,
1. Double click on third text box, ''Text box properties'' wizard opened.
2. Copy below formula to ''default value'' box .
concat(substring(surname, 1, 6), substring(firstname, 1, 1)).
3. Click ''ok'' button.
This will work for you,
-
On your third box, bring up your Text Box Properties. Under Default Value, click the fx for inserting function:
cancat(substring(surName,1,6),substring(firstName,1,1))
It should work.
