Sorry to sound silly, but what are you trying to refresh? That is, what is the problem you are attempting to solve? Switching to a different view will just display whatever is in the fields that the controls in the view are bound to.... and I'm not sure what refreshing would provide that is any different....

Well, as to your question about upgrading data connections -- InfoPath 2010 uses a different format for SharePoint data connections, and it is telling you that to save your form as an IP 2010 form, you need to upgrade those. You may want to try walking through the data connection wizard again for those.
As to your initial error -- does it happen ...

Hi, Catharine:
I've attached a sample form that I think does what you want. I started with more complex approaches to filtering the second multiselect, but turned out not to need them -- just a simple "Field from repeating group is equal to field bound to multiselect" worked in my case -- I am using IP 2010 (I remember with IP ...

Hi:
The text field you want to set -- it is not in the repeating section, correct? Does it have to be a field (just checking -- if all you need to do is display the value, I'd use an expression box, since I already have the data in the form) - is your repeating table in your main data source or a secondary data source?
At any rate, you ...

Wow, what a hassle! I'm so glad that a clean install of Office solved this for you.

It sounds as if something else may be clearing CurrentUserID. Can you use the Rule Inspector on that field, see if anything else may be changing it? Can you change your rule where you are troubleshooting to also show the value of the CurrentUserID field, right after you set it to the result of the username function?

Hi, Joern:
Unfortunately, you won't be able to do this unless you submit the items in your form to a SharePoint list. For IP 2003, you'll either need to write code or have users submit items one at a time using a secondary data source with some CAML in it. Sorry I don't have better news for you!
It has been a long time since I've ...

You may want to simply admin approve the template. There are instructions on that in the qRules user guide, I believe. Look for "USING QRULES IN INFOPATH FORMS SERVICES (IPFS)" -- page 10 of the version I've got open.
As far as setting up for sandboxing here is some more info on that: ...

Heya -- so on one form, you'd have multiple orders and each order will have multiple items?
What does your data table structure look like?
This shouldn't be an issue, really -- you connect IP to the Order table, then add the OrderItems table (and create the relationship).... The Order group will be repeating, and the OrderItems table ...

Actually, it sounds like you are doing everything right -- I think you are saying that the values from the promoted columns from the second form aren't displayed in the library -- is that correct? I'm still a little confused as to what this has to do with the error in the title?
