  • Re: Repeating Tables

This should be pretty easy to do in code. The hard part will be determining whether or not two tables are the same. If they are exactly the same, you might be able to compare objects, but I have not tried this. Otherwise I think you will have to walk the DOM and determine whether or not two nodes are precisely the same by a series of string ...

  • Re: Collect Name on Repeating Section Creation

I haven't heard of a way that you can take input in a dialog box, but there are several that provide ''Yes'', ''No'', ''Cancel'' functionality. I think you will want to provide a place within the form that allows you to name the new section. Why can't you just make the ''field within the repeating section'' editable? If you want to make sure ...

  • Re: Function: Combine Strings

Try this: concat( Now(), ''test'' ) If that doesn't work you might have to do something like this: concat( string(Now()), ''test'' ) But I think the first one will work. Let us know if there are any more problems!

  • Collect Name on Repeating Section Creation

I need to present the user with a dialog box whenever a particular repeating section is created. The dialog box will ask for a name or description of the new section, once the user has input the name the repeating section (or a field within it) is populated with this name. Anyone ever done this kind of thing before?

  • Can I add Metadata to a form library element?

Hello, I'm using an InfoPath form, that sends its data to a SharePoint form library. This form represents a request, which, after being saved in SharePoint, has to processed by several people and due to that needs to have information about the current status attached to it - e.g. ''New'', ''In work'' and ''Closed''. Is there any possibility to ...

  • Regarding the email addresses

Don't know if I should put this into the old http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=554thread but anyway. As I couldn't get it work I came up with another solution. I wrote a small WebService and read all members from a AD group, or better the eMail addresses of them. In my InfoPath document I populate a DDL with theses values using ...

  • Function: Combine Strings

Hello, I haven't got a clue - how can I combine two strings, e.g. Now() + ''teststring'' and display the result in an edit-field? Even ''test'' + ''test2'' doesn't work - ''NaN'' is the result. Anyone got a hint for me? Thanks in advance
