I have a drawing schedule. Under each drawing is a list of revisions and a list of revisions. When I create an issue I want to print, and store in the issue tree, the latest revision number.
This works in an expression box, but not in a text box (I get an error):

Yes it's the browser settings you want to change.
Is this just happening with one form? Can you try opening the form on another machine to see if it happens there and can you try making a brand new test form calling to the same Access mdb to see if it's some type of strange issue with the form iteslf?

Hooray!!! The issue is solved. We forgot to put the user in with the proper permissions to the database and tables. DUH!!!!

grrrrrr nevermind.
It has to do with the default user. Apparently my ''Sales Group'' was set as default.
Sorry I love Infopath but this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Why should the default override the rule I put in place so that I must make it the opposite?
Infopath is a great product but this needs fixed.

I am using User Roles. The strange part is on a submit everything works normally. Basically, I put a rule that says if you are a member of a certain group you can submit the data.
