I'm doing the same thing, using C# code to populate a text box with the user id. I get the user id when I preview the form, but when I publish the form to a Shrepoint form library it doesn't populate the user id. I don't get any security warnings or errors, and I'm not sure what I need to do to get it to work.

Thanks for the information. I ended up adding a rule under ''Form Options - Save and Open'' to run a query when the file is opended. The query runs and fills the form with the information from the database. So far, it seems to be working.

Yes, you should be able to do this by using the method Greg described. I hope you are using managed code, because that will make things easier.
