I've got an extensible table wich has on each line a button.
This button has to open another infopath file and make a query depending on the line it was activated.
The files are both linked to a SQLserver database. Here is the code put on the button :

I think I've found out why I'm getting the above error message.
When I set up the filter, I use the pattern \p{L}, which translates as any letter. This gives the filter shown in my original message, namely:
Document_Revision does not match pattern Custom Pattern A
When I preview the form I get the error message.

thanks shailja....willl try this do u know if there is any way such that a new field serial number is created and serial numbers are generated automatically on that field.(sorted by ddepartments).
eg form 1 for dept mkt is given serial no. mkt-1
form 2 for dept mkt is given serial no. mkt-2

do i have no option of merging a no. of forms? let's say i have a number of forms giving me a feedback of the person...so can't i merge all those forms somehow.
and after i changed the coding in jscript i just close the editor and previes the form to see whether or not the code has been successfully implemented???
